Product Description

Models like the E6B2-C series exemplify   commitment to precision: these incremental encoders generate pulse signals synchronized with rotational displacement, with resolutions ranging from 100 to 5000 pulses per revolution (PPR). A key innovation in  incremental design is the integration of quadrature encoding (via Channel A and Channel B, offset by 90 electrical degrees), which enables both direction detection and enhanced resolution through edge counting. For instance, a 1000 PPR encoder can achieve 4000 counts per revolution (CPR) when leveraging rising and falling edges of both channels-ideal for CNC machines, conveyor belts, and robotic arms that demand fine positional control. Many of s incremental encoders also include an index channel (Channel Z), which emits a single pulse per full rotation to serve as a reference "home" position. This feature is invaluable in applications like packaging lines, where products must be aligned consistently, as it eliminates cumulative counting errors caused by electrical noise or mechanical slippage over time.
