The VPL-A1002F-CJ12AA supports a default IP88 factory-installed enclosure but other types of NEMA-approved open-type enclosures can also be installed during the device installation. For enhanced feedback, the VPL-A1002F-CJ12AA also features an 18-bit single-turn digital high-resolution encoder as well as a keyed shaft. It also has a SpeedTec right-angle DIN connector with a rotation flexibility of up to 325 degrees. Compared to previous AC drive models in the  Powerflex 525 series, the VPL-A1002F-CJ12AA provides better and more flexible control over the motor functions, it is more reliable and provides more safety features. The frame size of the VPL-A1002F-CJ12AA is a 100-millimeter bolt circle frame.
