The MELSEC-F series FX2N-48MR-DS module is a 48-point I/O module. The FX2N-48MR-DS module's 48 I/O points include 24 digital input points and 24 digital output points. The input points have a voltage rating of 24 Volts DC. The outputs are relay outputs with NO or normally open contacts. The dimensions of the FX2N-48MR-DS module are 182 x 87 x 90 millimeters. The FX2N-48MR-DS I/O module is designed for use with  FX2N programmable controllers that support a maximum of 256 I/O. The execution time for basic instructions on FX2N programmable controllers is 0.08 microseconds. The execution time range for the application instructions is from 1.52 microseconds to several hundred microseconds. FX2N programmable controllers, including controllers that include the FX2N-48MR-DS module, contain 8K of built-in RAM memory. The RAM memory can be extended to 16K steps. A real-time clock provides support for time-dependent applications. In addition to installing the FX2N-48MR-DS module in an FX2N controller, operators can add a wide range of special function modules to the FX2N controller to satisfy different application requirements. Different network modules are available for different communication requirements. Mounting options include DIN rail and mounting holes. The operation control method is cyclic operation by the stored program. The I/O batch control processing takes place after the execution of the END instruction. Programming languages supported by the controller include ladder logic and instruction list programming languages. The step ladder programming language can also be used to produce a SFC program. All modules that are part of the FX2N controller system, including the FX2N-48MR-DS module, must be handled and installed by qualified and trained personnel. Failure to follow these guidelines and failure to follow all specified safety instructions can lead to user injury and equipment damage.
