The  ControlLogix 4 Slots Chassis 1756-A4 is a ControlLogix Chassis. It is a 4-Slot ControlLogix Chassis with Power dissipation and 1.8 W power consumption. It has dimensions of 50.8 x 50.8 x 20.3 cm (20 x 20 x 8 in.).in and weighs 1.7 lbs. It is horizontally mounted inside the panel and it has an open enclosure. It has a maximum Backplane current of 1.5 A at 1.2 V DC, 4 A at 3.3 V DC, 15 A at 5.1 V DC, and 2.8 A at 24 V DC.ControlLogix chassis also supports distributed application. With distributed application, I/O modules may be installed to a chassis remote to the processor. This prevents installation of individual signal cable home runs. With a distributed application, Distributed I/O channels does not have a processor instead, it is installed with a communication adapter along the required ControlLogix modules. Any chassis within the ControlLogix system may be used as distributed I/O chassis including the 1756-A4. Each chassis require an individual system power supply.
